My career in IT started in 1992 using a 486 PC with MS-DOS, later switching to Windows 3.1 and Windows NT.
In 1997 I started building my first websites using FrontPage, later switching to pure code in Notepad. Next step was using Microsoft SQL Server to build database driven sites. The technology we used at that time:
With my company we worked for different Small and Medium sized companies, as well as for non-profit and governement organizations.
Switching to a new tech stack based on Node JS, Vanille JavaScript and MongoDB was a revelation!
The ease of building applications using JavaScript on the client- as well as on the server-side is a great advantage speeding up the process. Even the NO-SQL database MongoDB uses BSON which is an extension to JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) and that is basically JavaScript as well.
